Reasons for recommending GT2
* Already a traveller site is this illegal?
* CURRENT TRAVELLERS CHOOSE THIS SITE BY PREFERENCE?
* Ability to expand
* Easy access to highways without contributing to Rayleigh Transit System
I am writing to recommend the following traveller sites and object to site GT3 which has been put forward as a potential site.
Reasons for objection to GT3
* Current transit System is stretched due to continual housing development.
* Schools are currently running at maximum capacity
* House prices within the direct vicinity
* Possibility of illegal expansion
* Cray's Hill in Rayleigh (a historic town) could quickly become ruined
* Current policing would need to be maximised (believe it is already stretched)
Reasons for recommending GT2

I would also like to state that I am very annoyed at the dealing with which this has taken part, I only found out about this 2 hours ago. And all I feel Rochford District Council has done is highlight areas for Travellers to choose from as at the end of the day neither myself of the council will have a say over these people.

The traveller options are all for small-scale sites, options GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT7 surely in particular GT2 would change the whole character of Rawreth village.
Public Consultation Allocations DPD
I would like to object to any development on Rawreth' green fields there are alternatives. I object to options NLR1, NLR2, NLR3, NLR4 and NLR5 but especially NLR1 because they will cause an unnecessary loss of agricultural land which is of high quality, this is a large scale development with enormous impact on all surrounding roads where Rawreth Lane and London Road are already at full capacity, will create a green belt boundary that can't be defended in future and encourage a merging between Rayleigh and Rawreth.
Rawreth is I thought, a Gateway to Rochford, I wonder what sort of Gateway this would be. The traveller options are all for small-scale sites, options GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT7 surely in particular GT2 would change the whole character of Rawreth village. This would all lead to overdevelopment with in a beautiful semi rural village. Rawreth also appears to have the largest allocation which seems unfair.
I trust you will also acknowledge receipt of my response.

My suggestion would be to increase their present area and legalise their site.
I am a resident living with my young family. I would like to make representations to the proposed building of new homes on green belt land in the area, in particular on the grounds of Rayleigh Sport and Social Club on London Road. I am also concerned with the possibility the traveling community will be placed near by. My suggestion would be to increase their present area and legalise their site.
I am aware of the need for affordable housing however not if it takes the place of green belt land or negatively impacts the areas social or community activity or spirit.
