London Southend Airport and Environs Joint Area Action Plan Preferred Options

Representation ID: 5105

Received: 11/03/2009

Respondent: Mr E A Clarke

Representation Summary:

A chaotic divergence in policy between both sponsoring councils as to general public inclusion in the consultation, a preferred strategy that was never chosen by the majority vote (an extensive public consultation!), a 3.5 month black hole in producing a first phase result and an unseemly rush to somehow stick to the original timetable for submission to the Secretary of State. The pre-submission consultation ends in July & the submission to the Secretary is also in July. What about the analysis?Could the result be pre-determined? Make your own mind up. Where is the Environmental Impact Assessment in all of this?
