It is green belt land, farmed regularly. The impact the extra traffic would cause to the area would be horrendous. The three ancient woods would be severely affected. There are not enough schools, doctors, dentists etc., to accommodate the extra residents of the proposed houses.
Hockley and surrounding 'villages' are currently lovely places to live. We have only recently moved to the area to escape the feeling of overcrowding, and urban life. We have worked hard to move to somewhere semi rural and we really appreciate all the woods and open spaces. I would hate for them all to be swallowed up by more houses and people.
