Proposed building plot CFS023 in Harrogate Drive
Yes, we certainly do need to make available a selection of new housing for both young first time buyers, families and older generations who do not want to have to leave family ties to the Hockley area. The village needs to welcome new life, in order to support local shops and infra structure. It would be ideal to utilise the Greensward Lane area, and especially the infill sites backing onto lovely woodland, because it is on the bus route and within walking distance for school children, commuters, and older people alike. The village can provide good schools, doctors and a variety of shops ( which all need to thrive and contribute to employment in the local area) not to mention a fast train service to London and a good bus service. Greensward Lane, is a main road to the village with pockets of infill land available to utilise. It would also be of benefit for the residents of the areas to have the opportunity to go onto main drainage, which new development would possibly help provide to Greensward Lane.
