With regard to proposed site CFS064 adjacent to Betts Wood and Hockley Primary School. This site is unsuitable (see response to Q58d) for housing or commercial development but could be used to improve the community infrastructure. A small percentage of this site could be used to expand the primary school with the majority being turned into an open space with a focus on wildlife. It would provide a valuable corridor for connecting wildlife in Betts Wood with other open spaces and could be planted with native tree species to create a new woodland. This would fit with the overall vision of Hockley being the gateway to green spaces and I am sure the community would support the planting of trees as a carbon offset.
