New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 39002

Received: 17/09/2021

Respondent: Mr Mark Naylor

Representation Summary:

There is no mention of protecting local wildlife sites, areas of local geological value and green spaces or the enhancement of biodiversity via improvement of these sites or promotion of new sites. The impact that the drainage strategy of Taylor Wimpey’s Water’s Edge development has had on Starlane Pits Wildlife Site has been a tragedy. Steps should be taken to ensure this does not happen again. In particular, the site assessment for promoted site CFS057 should be reviewed and the western area of this parcel of land should not be put forward as a promoted site.
