New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 38352

Received: 01/09/2021

Respondent: Miss Caroline Gaitely

Representation Summary:

I am very happy with the Council's vision that "in 2050 the Wakerings and Barling should have retained their rural village character and relative tranquility" but am concerned that any further development will lead to the opposite. There already have been 250 homes built or being built in the Star Lane brickworks site, on Barrow Hall Road and in Red Lion Court and any further loss of agricultural land and green belt will be detrimental to the area, as well as putting strain on village services such as the medical centre, the primary school and roads.
