Areas CFS023 & COL38
COL38 Designated play area for the residents of Malvern road. Footpath access to Beckney Wood.
CFS023 Used as grazing land for horses now overgrown edged to the North by Beckney woods. Ancient woodland. The land has never been chemically fertilised and could be a possible site of the warriors graves from the battle of Assandun (1016) between the Danish and English armies. (disputed, site unconfirmed).
The cost to develop would be astronomical due to a water spring, Blue Clay deposits and water runoff from the fields.
Environment impact to wildlife and fauna, Badgers, foxes and Muntjac deer plus numerous species of birds.
Access to main road, pollution from increased number of vehicles.
