(continued) comments formulated in discussion with RDC Community Safety Tean and Essex Police (Rochford) Neighbourhood Specialist Officer.
5. CCTV on top of buildings can act as a deterrent for youths hanging around.They need to be high up so they can't be damaged.Maybe tehre could be a precondition for businesses to have their own CCTV.
6. Leisure uses could encourage youths to teh area. Mix of leisure and industrial uses are ok as long as teh units are secure. (See example Festival Leisure Pk,mixed uses)
7. Area needs to be accessible for Police, have CCTV, be well lit and managed.
