Whilst there is no objection to testing these sites as reasonable options for West Hockley these are not exclusively the right options. Rochford Council has been premature to consult only on these sites as the 'right' options in advance of the Core Strategy examination and adoption. There are alternative reasonable and sustainable sites to the west of Hockley which should be included, consulted on and tested as part of this Development Plan Document. This situation could be addressed by further issues and options consultation on sites under Regulation 25 following the Core Strategy examination and adoption.
