This vacuous statement is at odds with the Council's continued support for the expansion of Southend Airport despite the serious detrimental impact this will have on the quality of life for all people in the area. Similarly, the only opportunities likely to be created with this vision will be for the numerous property developers engaged to deliver this flawed approach for uncontrolled residential development within the district without any real concern for the availability of supporting infrastructure and services.
