We should support accommodation sites for Gypsy communities. We should engage and improve relations with a community that often has many difficulties to overcome.

I would assess that the community in the district is primarily concerned with farming or housing for people who commute by rail or vehicles to nearby urban areas. We should not be allocating farming land or rural areas to industrial activity. We should concentrate on ensuring maximum occupancy of current industrial sites by allowing more flexible repurposing. Most of the industrial sites in the district detract from the look of the area. We should promote or rural areas for tourist purposes.

Q29. Do you agree that the plan should designate and protect areas of land of locally important wildlife value as a local wildlife site, having regard to the Local Wildlife Sites review? Are there any other sites that you feel are worthy of protection?

The protection of these important sites can only take place if adjoining communities are not harmed. As a Stambridge resident I see the breadth of wildlife the region supports in nearby farming areas, allotments and paths. I've seen weasels at the bridge at the front south of the town, barn owls and bats at the front of my house as well as wildfowl from the Hampton Barn Lake and Crouch River area on the farming fields around the village.

These are most significant areas but the land to the North East of Rochford provides scenic importance for visitors and the community. This includes golfers at Ballards Gore and cyclists to Pagelsham and Wallasea.

Due to the lack of facilities and support for the town centre in Rochford I feel that there is a significant loss of potential for tourism and short breaks especially with the potential of Wallasea and having Southend at hand.

Support option 4, the facilities that exist seem to support the local communities well enough. I'm not against imaginative diversification of the facilities for wider activities if justified. I have never witnessed shortages of appointments at local Drs or class sizes. be too large. To my knowledge current infrastructure meets demand.
