Each settlement has its own character and this must be considered. Community resources need to be prioritised so that there is social cohesion where building developments are planned. This is costly eg mill hall rayleigh (very necessary)
Council planning is required, not handouts from developers where the principle aim is to show case properties for sale. When the properties are sold, we the community are left with the social problems and traffic congestion and pollution.

In my earlier submission I referred to 4 sites and wrongly said at the eastern end of the "lung" but of course they are on the western end this valuable open space and should be retained as such.

Yes- there is a LOT of information here to try and read and understand. Would be much easier to look at each area individually.

Yes. There are slightly differing concerns in each area. Local parish councils and residents associations have a greater on the ground knowledge. Their knowledge should be acknowledged and they should be consulted.

Yes, the different settlements have different characters and different needs. There are many organisations that could help in giving reasons fir this and who have local knowledge to support their views. These are the Residents Associations and Parish Councils.

Yes, as each settlement has its own problems discrete visions are appropriate.
As an example Rayleigh has recently lost large areas of green belt land while having pre-existing severe traffic congestion, lack of open space and history of air pollution.
Although preserving green belt land is a top priority other settlements do not have the same constraints.

if you do not consider the District as a whole you fail to acknowledge the interdependency in particular with regard to road access anything you do East of Rayleigh impacts on traffic through the town which is already frequently gridlocked so consideration should be given to impact to other parts of the District therefore I believe you cannot have separate visions in isolation.

Yes, I support this. It is important to treat the different towns and vilages separately to ensure that a tailored approach can be made. This will help ensure the smaller villages especially can keep their unique characteristics.
We only have a few villages in Rochford and it is important to maintain the green spaces and countryside they reside in.

Keeping separate visions for each settlement will ensure that each area can keep its own sense of identity. Keeping the villages protected is important otherwise all of Rochford will end up feeling the same. Rochford has very few villages and keeping them is an important step in protecting the unique features of our district.

The parishes within the district all have a distinct feel to them with different population sizes and needs. It's important that each is considered for its own merits.

I agree different parishes should be treated differently, each have different populations, challenges and opportunities.
Towns will need to have infrastructure improvements, as they're already struggling. Whereas in villages, protecting our precious green belt and retaining open spaces is important to the wellbeing of all our districts residents.

Each town and village should be allowed to maintain a separate vision for their settlement. Hockley has always been surrounded by woodland and open fields. It should be able to maintain this for the enjoyment of residents, visitors and most importantly wildlife

I do agree that there should be a range of visions, it may be possible to take parts of each vision to make a more acceptable plan to those people who actually have to live with it.

Each area should be taken on its own merits. Stambridge is classed as a village, as is Canewdon. Increasing the amount of housing and infrastructure will change this.

You need to create a separate vision for Stambridge, rather than using a generic vision for the district. We are small village rural community and can not be compared to a town like Rochford.
