Local List SPD - Discussion & Consultation Document

Representation ID: 26890

Received: 10/02/2011

Respondent: Mr Dennis Haggerty

Representation Summary:

I am a strong supporter, however the inclusion or exclusion of property seems to be based more on plastic windows than anything else. Don't make this an (almost) single issue exercise. Provided replacement windows are broadly in keeping with the appearance of the originals, it should not represent barrier. After all, in 100 years time, councils will be placing preservation orders on properties with plastic windows pointing out the shocking disregard that someone should suggest replacing these original, but u/v destroyed, plastic windows, with this disgraceful material called wood.
