Hockley Area Action Plan - Issues and Options

Representation ID: 9284

Received: 28/04/2009

Respondent: Mr Roy Munro

Representation Summary:

I feel that the council want to press ahead with additional housing for political purposes.

I feel there is no empathy with the wants of Hockley residents and the need to retain the village look and feel.

I think the council conveniently forget about infrastructure which, in my view, make the proposals a pipe dream.

I'm fed up with hearing about demolition, compulsory purchase (which will blight the area if it were taken seriously) and residential development. Overall the proposals, if they went ahead (and they should not) seem to set out to ruin Hockley village.
