We object to the airport expansion plans and in particular to the proposed runway extension on the grounds that homes under the flight path will suffer adverse environmental effects from low flying aircraft. We are very concerned that freight movements will be expanded to make full use of the facilities for night flights. The extended runway will make it possible to operate larger aircraft and the Plan does not make clear the types of aircraft to be permitted. The operation of the noise quota system is not explained. Will it be possible for the operator to buy additional slots?
