Any shopping improvements should focus on the hub between Waters and Stanton to Somerfield.Most residents view a new large supermarket with abhorrence.The Retail and Leisure Study stated that there was good mix of independent traders.It proposed building on these strengths by encouraging niche and specialist businesses.The area that needs addressing is the frontage of some shops along Spa Road.A different facade e.g.bay windows,fascia etc. would give a marked improvement and could gradually be achieved when granting planning applications or leases change.
