London Southend Airport and Environs Joint Area Action Plan Preferred Options

Representation ID: 4736

Received: 26/02/2009

Respondent: Mr John Lintott

Representation Summary:

Why do we need another airport?
Increasing the size of the current airport, given the current level of local population must raise questions about safety, noise, pollution, road congestion and associated road traffic accidents.
What use will it be other than for the fleeting benefits for the 2012 olympics?
Our roads are congested as it is, the introduction of numerous Eddie Stobart lorries will only make things worse.
