Quality of life degrades near airports as flight numbers increase. Fact. Consult with Stanstead, Gatwick or Heathrow residents. SE Essex has high employment levels compared to national average. More noise and pollution for tens of thousands to benefit few hundred people. Two big airports for one county? What is to stop Southend Airport becoming freight/training by the back door once permission has been granted? 2 million people p.a. are not going to drive past Stanstead/M11 at 70mph to Southend up A127 at 40mph? Consult with Ramsgate residents on their airport disaster.
