To whom it may concern,

I wish to strongly object to any development, housing or otherwise, of this site in Hockley.

The field and wood provides a pleasant open space alongside the footpath from Folly Chase and St Peter's Road to Osbourne Avenue, Hockley Community Centre and beyond to the village shops. This route is used by many.
Should the field become a housing estate the vista will be no more than back garden fences.

I would also question any access road to this area which I would imagine can only be through the wooded area adjacent to the footpath at Osbourne Avenue. This would cause increased traffic close to Hockley Primary School as well on to Aldermans Hill, an already busy thoroughfare from Rayleigh to Hockley.

The basic road infrastructure of the area remains the same as it has for decades and surely any additional housing can only lead to more congestion on an already congested route.

I wish to be informed of any further proposals for development of this site.
