In my previous comment I stated that the new housing Minister may have different plans for the way forward. Maybe one option is to join forces with Southend unitary council and make proposals on the brown field sites that are adjacent to council boundaries. Maybe. Pro-active approach to join forces and think of how best to use this land for housing and services would be appreciated by Ministers. I also think that local government should work closely with different Government Depts especially the NHS and see what is required so maybe the brownfield sites could be used more purposefully.
