All areas need to be protecting from development. Infrastructure and services are already over used. Resident welfare is already poor due to reasons such as dealing with congestion, pollution, unable to get doctors appointments, lack of green space. Also, the environment will suffer, as valuable wildlife habitat is lost, and more development has the additional impact of creating additional polluting emissions and greenhouse gases.
Any development will be in direct conflict with the RDC's environmental visions.
