New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 39214

Received: 20/09/2021

Respondent: Mr Martin Smith

Representation Summary:

The majority of people living in Sutton and Stonebridge are there precisely because of the low density and have no interest in "improving the completeness of existing communities". The area is, and should remain, predominantly rural. Many of the residents in this area are older and often retired and have no need for improvements in education, jobs and retail in the area. All of these are already available within reasonable distance.
Improvements to the connectivity would be welcome, especially a cycle lane along Sutton Road and improved pavements elsewhere. However, this will remain an area where personal transport is required.
