Hockley Woods, Beckney Woods, Marylands Woods/ nature reserve, Betts Woods are what remains of a vast ancient woodland. These need to be preserved not only for wildlife and air quality, but for enjoyment and education of future generations. Plumberow mount and surrounding farm fields extending down to lower road and towards Hockley church/ church rd are also used on a daily basis by many local residents and visitors. It is full of wildlife, including deer and its importance is often overlooked in favour of Hockley woods. It would make a great country park
