The area is already congested with cars, lack of school places,doctors/dentists full. This area of Rochford historically was a farming /rural area which had a village feel. This is what attracted us to the area in 1989 and my children thrived in the fresh air and country walks after leaving London. At the time there was a surplus of properties from the 1950s.
Today my grandchildren are also benefitting from a close knit village community with clean air and the opportunity to go for walks and excercise in the surrounding woods and fields.
Shame on you RDC for even thinking about the mass influx of new housing on such a historically unique landscape(i.e.the Viking battle Assundun ).
Be brave and think about your existing residents and their needs .Once gone it can never be replaced.
