It is completely inappropriate to even consider developing for housing or commercial use any of those beautiful natural areas of parkland, woods and green space which give Rayleigh its character and enable its residents to enjoy a good quality of life. These areas enhance our physical and mental well-being. Allowing development on such sites will also encourage 'rat runs' and increase traffic flow in areas which are currently safe for pedestrians and road users alike.
