Wildlife will also be affected, tress cut down affecting birds, squirrels and insects required for a healthy eco system. Additonal rubbish and footfall in the area and surrounding wooded areas.

I don't see how addtional housing to the area will have any benefit, I can only see a negative impact for the following reasons.
Traffic - The area is already suffering from increased traffic and conjestion including a large amount of HGV traffic which Hockley and the surrounding roads and pavements are not prepared for. The pavements are to small for the volume of traffic that comes though Hockley and Hawkwell and the roads themselves are already in bad condition which increased traffic will only add to. Plus there is the increase in both noise & air pollution.
