CFS027 is the gateway for most residents of Rayleigh to access the upper Roach valley and Hockley woods. CFS027 would change the first part of the footpath to the Roach valley to a walk around the edge of a new housing estate.
There are many mature trees that would be at risk of destruction by the development.
CFS027 encroaches upon the upper Roach valley which is used as a recreational walking area.
