New Local Plan: Spatial Options Document 2021

Representation ID: 38112

Received: 23/08/2021

Respondent: Craig Cannell

Representation Summary:

To varying degrees, all of the principles have my support.

Prioritising elements of planning that help achieve carbon-neutrality/ negativity would be my preference and it is with optimism I see reference to this as well as the improvement of local air quality.

Prioritising sustainable forms of active transport including walking and cycling, in a bid to both improve health and wellbeing, and encourage low-levels of car reliance are also positive.

Improving affordable housing provision should also be core to this plan and the enablement of ultra-fast connectivity to premises in Rochford will provide huge social and economic benefits.
