Canewdon is not designed to be populous. The double bend along the high street is congested already and a danger to pedestrians/cyclists on the corner by the shop, PH and school. This area already struggles to cope with recent increase in population. Access into and out of Canewdon is restricted and dangerous. There have been numerous car accidents along Scotts Hall Rd, Lark Hill, Brays Lane and Ballards Gore. Sadly, many fatalities and life changing injuries. Traffic out has no option but to enter already congested bottlenecks, especially at school times.
