This village can be traced back to the Iron Age & the Saxon invasion, so much history and the rich & diverse wildlife that inhabit the surrounding meadow and marshlands it is an area of significant beauty & tranquillity for the locals & surrounding inhabitants. These are the country walks, so relied on for mental health during Covid restrictions with many people from Rochford able to find peace and exercise for themselves during some very hard times. To build housing over these meadows would be extreme folly.
