I have worked as a teaching assistant at a local primary school for 27 years. In this time I have seen the school double it’s intake from 300 to 650 children. Our space is limited and it troubles me that we are inviting more families into Hockley without the infrastructure to cope with more residents and their children.
The roads are too busy for the children to walk independently, something my children were able to do.This has led to traffic problems at the start of school and the end of school because parents do not want their children crossing the Greensward Lane.It does not have a Lollipop person to help with the crossings.
More consideration is needed for the benefits of the established residents and their children’s , especially as they are already council tax contributors and have issues still not being dealt with by RDC.
