Representation Summary:

'Improving access to' the Rayleigh Weir junction, as quoted in the document, seemed to be rather cosmetic and, in the morning peak hour when there is a hold up on the Basildon-bound A127, the Weir roundabout becomes a nightmare to negotiate, creating tailbacks through Rayleigh/Eastwood Road with absolutely no 'escape route' alternative for motorists.

I don't know what the answer is but long term could you consider really thinking big and cutting a swathe through the Southend peninsular to create a new route North? It could even join a new river crossing over the Blackwater to alleviate congestion at Retendon.
