Representation Summary:

Having looked at the proposals for the square, I cannot understand why much alteration is required.

The east side is already developing as a café culture.

The north side serves shops with an adequate footpath for passing foot traffic.

The west side has gone to office use so does not need wide footpaths.

Only the south side needs some attention. Like reducing the taxi rank to only three waiting taxis, which is what is there most of the time, in any case they all have radios if more are required.

The entry into the square requires reversing, and the three spare taxi places used for cars waiting to park, so freeing the entrance to West Street.

The half hours free parking should be kept because that is what brings customers into the square from the outlaying villages and farms etc.
