Local List Consultation

The Parish Council has considered local bulidings and items of street furniture which are felt to be of local histroical or architectual importance.

Full Council on 18th April 2011 resolved that the below items should all be included in the Local List.

Members believe that the following items are definite as they have been proposed by HPC in the past and agreed with RDC:

* The Spa Public House
* Old Fire Station
* Former Hockley Primary School, 75 Main Road
* Fountain and Trough, corner of Fountain Lane
* Bullwood Hall
* 36 High Road
* Hockley House, 48 High Road
* Hockley Methodist Church
* Finger Post, Main Road

The following were previously recommended by HPC but not agreed by RDC and the parish council now ask that they be reconsidered.

* Hockley Public Hall
* Boundary Stone, Adjacent to St Nicholas, Bullwood Hall Lane
* 112 Main Road, corner of Folly Lane
* Finger Post, Junction of Church Road / Lower Road

Members note that the following sites recommended by RDC showing them as being in Hockley but in fact should be included in the Ashingdon Parish Councils List.

* The Old Forge, Greensward Lane
* Homefield Farm, Greensward Lane
* Linden Lea, Lower Road

Members also noted that The White Hart is in Hockley Parish and not as shown by RDC as being in Hawkwell Parish.

* The White Hart Public House

Hockley Parish Council ask that you review the above comments and amendments during your consideration for items to be included in the Local List.
