1) Sadly not many of the iconic historic buildings are still standing of the original village, (before High Elms was incorporated around 1920's). These four buildings along with the school. school house, Shell and Rose cottages are what remains. Visit www.Hullbridgevillage.co.uk website and you will see these buildings were what holiday makers, villagers and visitors recognise as Hullbridge along with many that no longer are around. 1 and 2 are late 1800's and 3 and 4 are early 1900's with the Anchor Inn being a more recent version of a Inn that was one of the oldest in the area, now over 400 years old. The cottages in Pooles Lane are the association to one of the lost historical structures, the brickworks which became Tower Caravan site.
