Representation ID: 26612
Received: 17/01/2011
Respondent: Rochford District Council
1) Like the long stretch of buildings from Spa Rd north to Eldon Way-nowhere to hide. Rest with offices above-preferable.
2)More open area in these options are better because you can see from end to end.
3)Maybe an issue with the road to the south of the consolidated leisure uses leading to parking behind retail/office units.Maybe a problem with youths. If car park can be closed/locked when offices closed at night then ok.
4)No to option 3-dislike the housing and less leisure space.
5)Should not be any houses on the green space by the Church.
6)Houses to the north of the railway line are ok.
7)People congregating outside the supermarket is an issue.
8)Would there be an issue with the proposal to the rear of the indian restaurant?
9)Direct access from the new station car park to Eldon Way (north to south) would be preferable to the route through the foundry.
Comments formulated in discussion with RDC Community Safety Team and Essex Police (Rochford) Neighbourhood Specialist Officer. Feedback covers options 3 and 3a.
