Rayleigh Town Centre Area Action Plan - Issues and Options

Representation ID: 17117

Received: 28/01/2010

Respondent: Mr Alistair Moffat

Representation Summary:

Consideration should be given to pedestrianising the High Street from Bellingham Lane to Holy Trinity Church. With few improvememts to Bellingham Lane and its junction with London Hill, I can't see how this would cause unnecesary traffic problems. Retracting bollards could be introduced at either end of the pedestrianised area to allow deliveries and emergency access.
