Rayleigh Town Centre Area Action Plan - Issues and Options

Representation ID: 17116

Received: 28/01/2010

Respondent: Mr Alistair Moffat

Representation Summary:

The pedestrian crossings at the top of Crown Hill and at the end of Websters Way/opposite Somerfields are too close to junctions and cause terrible tailbacks. The fact that pedestrians effectively have right of way over traffic does not help matters either. These should either be re-sited or made into controlled crossings which would greatly improve traffic flow.
