NONE of Rayleigh should be pedestrianised! Has nothing have been learnt from the death of scores of other high streets? Pedestrianisation hands over streets to groups of kids to hang about causing trouble, & discourages the more affluent members of society who our stores desperately need. (Pedestrianisation only works in the Lakeside style = FREE PARKING & a known collection of major stores under one roof in the dry & warm) None of my family have time to wander around shops browsing, we go to the shops that we require BY CAR, spend money & drive home asap.
