I consider the further development of the airport will have a detrimental effect on both noise, pollution and volume of traffic. I live in Rayleigh and we experience aircraft noise from takeoff and landing at the present time and do not wish to see this increased. Both Gatwick and Stansted are easily accessible and I see no need to be able to fly from Southend - there is nothing to be gained.
