We oppose any expansion on the grounds that air travel and airfreight produce unwarranted amounts of carbon dioxide, and this proposed increase is contradictory to the government's declared aim to drastically reduce carbon output. The two simply cannot be reconciled. All such plans should be shelved until a new green airfuel is produced.
