I applaud the local council's forward thinking policies to rejuvenate what is now an under utilised industrial estate. The estate was developed to cater for light manufacturing back in the 1960's, and it is common knowledge that this business sector has been in steady decline ever since. It is far better to utilise brown field sites like these to build new housing, encourage leisure use and create open new green spaces for the local community to enjoy.
