Although this site would be less damaging to the Green Belt it would impact on the area as a whole. The roads in the area cannot cope with the current requirements, especially the Ashingdon Road.

This site may be good for the Green Belt but damaging to the area as a whole. Traffic movement would be a huge problem.

Any site in this area will erode the green belt. However, the Ashingdon Road is already full to capacity.

This site has implications for traffic on Ashingdon Road.

Hullbridge is a Community that has evolved and is a large village with a village atmosphere. 500 housing will change this Community and put pressure on the current infrastructure. The road network cannot cope with rush hour traffic now. Any person needing emergency treatment will have to be sure to be ill and need an ambulance out of the rush hour.

Canewdon has had its fair share of development, but this would be a step too far. CPRE would like to object to any development in this Village highlighting the following:

The area proposed lies in an area of Green Belt, and it is Al agricultural land.
There is very little public transport so the already unsuitable roads will be under even greater pressure
In addition, Canewdons' roads are used recreactionally by many people. Walkers. runners, cyclist and horseriders. It is an area where people from the surrounding areas come to enjoy being in the Countyside and walk the paths, perhaps train for long distance runs etc.
