Allocations DPD Discussion and Consultation Document

Should we allocate any other land uses in the Allocations Development Plan Document not identified in this consultation and discussion document?

Representation ID: 21551

Received: 28/04/2010

Respondent: Gregory Gray Associates

Representation Summary:

Brownfield site 1.3ha in size, rectangular in shape, flat and fronts onto the north side of Eastwood Road (A1015) which links Rayleigh to Eastwood. The address is Rayleigh Garden Centre, Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 7QA.

The site is currently in use as a Garden Centre located adjacent to the settlement edge, albeit within the Green Belt. Subject to a change in the Green Belt Boundary (a requirement recognised in the Core Strategy), this site is ideally located and suited for a housing or employment use.

May I therefore respectfully request that this site is considered for inclusion in the Allocations DPD and SHLAA.
