Representation Summary:

There are many adjoining buildings going back 100 years, worth of more note that this but are being discarded. This building was built in the 1940`s with pre fabricated pre cast concrete sectional walls as a utility building. As a artist with great experience in teaching the History of art and I have a National Diploma in Design (NDD) I submit that the building description of "Art Deco" is completely false and It cannot under any stretch of the imagination be classed as a historic or art deco building. It us a commerical building of little consequence

Full text:

1) RDC granted planning permission to knock down the building back in the 1990`s.
2) I have submitted plans and had various discussions with the planning department regarding improvements to the front of the building, and all have been refused.
3) Mr Carpenter the Essex county councils heritage officer sugested at our last meeting that it may be better for the local council to treat the property as a private dwelling rather than a fire station.
4) I have put forward Ideas to improve the doors and windows to the property but have allway been turned down by RDC
5)The front of the. building has been badly altered by previous owners by having the windows and doors replaced and therefore the building no longer bears any resemblance to a traditional fire station.
I would like to know what involvement RDC intend to take regarding any confirmed buildings and this should be made clear before nominating one.

5 other good examples in the area this is a bad example as the main features of windows and doors no longer exist. The building should be allowed to move on and be refurbished in keeping with adjoining property
