10-12 High Street

This building is one of a few left original shops in the old main shopping area of the high street and forms a main part of the collection of character 19th century buildings making up the main part of the old section.
In the past RDC allowed planning to demolish the houses opposite in order to install modern totally out of context shops. We cannot afford to allow the council to remove more and take away the last section of character houses on the area. It is negligent for RDC not to recommend this building to the list
