In general I support controls over such developments. However, I would suggest adding a further proviso that such developments would not result in horses needing to use main roads to reach bridelways, etc. This will reduce the risks to horses and riders from traffic as well as delays to traffic using the main roads.

I would favour equestrian developments on our greenbelt land any day to the current residential developments - yet it would appear there are much greater restrictions on the number of horses and stables that can be put on a greenbelt location, getting planning permission for a stable is likely getting a shuttle flight to the moon yet it seems that propose more than 250 houses on the same land and promise some money to local leisure facilities and your through - all agreed!
