I object due to infrastructure already fully stretched/environment and the fact that there are already so many empty business facilities in and around Southend.

I think anything that will bring jobs in is good! It is better than housing because the essential services couldnt cope and the schools, transport system couldnt ether. so a business park will bring jobs for people already living here. It must be offered to locals though

Strongly Object on the gorunds of:
(1) Living directly under the flightpath my quality life will be severely impacted
(2) Thought the government / councils were meant to improve the environment and not poison it
(3) Road connections to Southend are already over congested
(4) All promises of increased employment opportunities in other regional airport development have never been met.
(5) The SE already has 4 international airports for passenger travel.
(6) Investing in air travel can only be short term given oil becoming scarce / expensive in the next 10 years.

I strongly object to ALL the proposals for the Airport expansion & redevelopment of the surrounding areas. The infrastructure will NOT support the planned numbers of passengers, and expansion of roads will only add to an already crowded environment. What will Cuckoo Corner and the A127 be like then????
Traffic in this whole area is already at total gridlock, and the airport expansion will certainly make this worse.
The increased noise & environmental pollution will affect thousands of local people.
I don't care how many new jobs they say will be created, they are not needed for this type of BAD PLANNING...

What really worries me is that the council have agreed to most of this in advance, which is why Stobart Group have invested so heavily.
How many councillors live under the flight-path or in the areas affected potentially by more HGV traffic?
The jobs for the airport are likely to be skilled and very few will go locally, meaning more traffic in and out of the area.
The council believes that a business park will create over 6000 jobs. It took 2 years to find anyone for Cherry Orchard and that was before the recession.
An ill-conceived plan

I strongly object to the whole concept of this Saxon Business park since there are many empty 'brown field sites within Southend, which should be considered first.
This proposed development should not be linked to the airport expansion.

I do not agree the over 7,000 jobs will be created by the expansion plans. In fact, when the job survey was carried, the country was not in a financial mess and therefore I would dispute the accuracy of those figures. I doubt more than a handful of jobs would be created. The survey must be carried out again in light of the country's financial situation.

I object to expanding developing this area.
Southend is over crowded as it is - traffic appalling, too many flats being built, Town Centre is a no-go area in the evening.
Houses will be de-valued as has been seen around Stansted and the noise from the airport at night is already unacceptable.
