London Southend Airport & Environs Joint Area Action Plan Issues & Options Paper

Representation ID: 1268

Received: 21/07/2008

Respondent: Mrs Susan Currington

Representation Summary:

The high growth strategy would be nothing short of a nightmare for local residents. While it may be convenient to use Southend Aiport to go on holiday once a year the remaining 50 weeks a year would be blighted! Rochford would be a deeply unpleaseant place to live.

London Southend Airport & Environs Joint Area Action Plan Issues & Options Paper

Representation ID: 1464

Received: 26/07/2008

Respondent: Mr T Clark

Representation Summary:

Strongly support this option as it is the one that is most in line with national and regional policies, and will provide the maximum economic benefit to the area.
Environmental constraints and monitoring will however need to be agreed and enforced.
There will not be another opportunity to develop the airport into the asset it deserves to be for the sub-region.
